MARCH MEETING WITH TANYA GIAQUINTO
Over 65 members and their guests attended a very
informative and interactive session on "Nutrition" by our guest speaker
Tanya Giaquinto. The highly interactive session concluded with Tanya
addressing a number of questions & concerns raised by members of the
audience. Tanya's talk will be made available on two Audio CD's as
part of the Us Too! Resource Materials housed at the Brampton Public
Library.
As always, our thanks to Tanya Giaquinto for a very educational evening on
a subject that is always of great interest to Us Too! members.
MARCH 19 "BLITHE SPIRIT"
THEATRE NIGHT A SUCCESS!
* An excellent play, professionally presented by the Bramalea Live Theatre
to an enthusiastic audience of 150+.
* Lynne Terry, the president of BLT, mentioned that the players delight in
presenting a play to a good audience such as we provide. Also they are happy
to work for such a worthwhile cause.
* Tom Argall, next year's president of BLT, said that the group will not be
using Cyril Clark theatre next year. However, they will allot us seats for a
future production, likely at Lester Pearson. They have not selected the
plays for next year yet.
* Tom stated that they will not be using the Cyril Clark theatre after 2003
because of cost issues. When presenting a play they have to book and pay for
the theatre's use for a week. This means that BLT paid for the use of the
theatre on our behalf. Furthermore, the tickets were provided at no cost to
us.
* Therefore, we at Us Too! owe a debt of gratitude to everybody who worked
to present this play. This list includes the stage hands, the technical
staff who operate the lighting and sound systems, the actors, the directors,
the refreshment staff and the executive and other active members of Bramalea
Live Theatre.
* I personally wish to thank Jim Dorsey and Ian Smith who volunteered their
help as ticket takers - and bouncers as needed.
* My heartfelt thanks to all members of Us Too! who sold tickets and helped
make this evening the success it turned out to be. In particular, Ian Smith
and George Redmond stood out by selling the most tickets to friends and
neighbours.
* All proceeds from this event have been forwarded to the CPCN in support of
the "LIVING PROOF" campaign.

Relay For Life. We require 10 to 12 team members to participate in this
overnight noncompetitive relay. There is no registration fee for survivor
teams, but each member is expected to raise at least $100 in pledges. The
Relay will be held at the Caledon Fairgrounds starting on Friday, June 20th
and finishing Saturday morning.
If you don't fancy a night out on the track, please sign up for the
"Survivors' Victory Lap" on the Friday evening. All of our members who have

Reception, the Opening Ceremony and other activities. To join the Us Too!

"HUMOUR"
An old man gets on a crowded Brampton Transit bus and no one gives him a
seat. As the bus shakes and rattles its way down Queen Street, the old man's
cane slips on the floor and he falls to his knees.
As he painfully gets to his feet, a thirteen-year-old kid sitting nearby
looks down at him and says, "If you put one of those little rubber thingies
on the end of your stick, it wouldn't slip."
The old man snaps back, "Well, if your daddy had done the same thing
thirteen years ago, I'd have a seat today."
